Growing up in New York I watched my mother bake cakes weekly for friends as well as family.  I would look at the faces of her friends as they came by to pick up their cakes and see the joy she got as she passes them these "little gifts." Later in life I learned that my mother's love for cooking was passed down to her from her mother (my Grandma B) and Great Aunt Betty.  I have seen the way these important women in my life showed their love and devotion to their families via cooking, and I have the desire to do the same with my granola. However, turning a business idea into an actual business came from my father, whose entreprenrurial spirit is a daily inspirtaion to me.
